There are pyramids all over Egypt, and in other countries too, but today we’re gazing upon the pyramids of Giza, the most famous pyramids in the world, one of which is the only remaining of the world’s seven ancient wonders. These pyramids are the tombs of three pharaohs who lived more than 4,500 years ago.

Giza is located in the greater Cairo area.

Each of the three pyramids is part of a larger burial complex with smaller tombs for the royal family and courtiers, as well as temples and other buildings.
