Israel Highlights is one of our best-selling Israel tours. This tour is ideal for travelers looking for an affordable, general interest tour. By “general interest,” I mean that, although the tour visits religious sites, both Christian and Jewish, it is not conducted as a religious tour. The average group size is 15 to 40 passengers, with a range of ages, interests and nationalities (the tour is conducted in English). Israel Highlights operates weekly, beginning each Sunday in Tel Aviv (excluding the week of Yom Kippur).
After private airport transfers and a night in Tel Aviv, the tour heads to the desert fortress of Masada and the Dead Sea.

In two full days of Jerusalem touring, passengers see sites associated with the last days in the life of Jesus and important Jewish heritage sites. Touring in the Old City involves a good deal of walking. It’s a very compact area, less than 1 square kilometer, so the distances are not great, but it is often quite crowded and moving from place to place is slow. Passengers should be reasonably fit and able to be on their feet for several hours.

From Jerusalem, the tour heads north to the Galilee region. This is an area of rolling, green hills, dense with biblical history.
Some tour highlights in the Galilee are the Roman Decapolis city of Beth Shean; Tiberias and Safed, both important centers of Jewish learning; Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus; and the Bahai Shrine and Persian Gardens on Mt. Carmel in Haifa.
