Upon arrival in Israel, you will be met by Ya'lla Tours USA's representative and transferred to your Tel Aviv hotel for overnight.

Visit the port city of Jaffa (Joppa) for a short walking tour in picturesque alleys of the old, fortified town. Pass by the house of Simon the Tanner and marvel at the views from the hilltop.
Drive north along the coastal road Via Maris to the archaeological ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great in honor of Augustus Caesar.
Continue to Megiddo, an ancient city inhabited continuously for more than five millennia (6000-500 B.C.) and site of a great battle (Armageddon) foretold in the Book of Revelation.
Drive eastward towards the Sea of Galilee, descending to Tiberias, one of the four holy cities in Judaism. The Talmud, the primary source of Jewish religious law, was compiled in Tiberias and the tombs of rabbis are scattered across the city.
Continue to your hotel for overnight.

Drive to the southern part of the Sea of Galilee to the Yardenit Baptismal Site.
Visit sites on the north shore, the setting of many of the events in Jesus' life.
Drive along the shore of the sea to Capernaum, known as “His Town,” the center of Jesus’ ministry, where he spent much time healing the sick and performing miracles.
Continue to Tabgha, the site of Christ’s miracle of feeding the 5,000. Visit the Church of Multiplication and the Church of the Primacy of St Peter, commemorating Jesus' reinstatement of Peter as chief among the apostles.
Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the sea, where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount.
Ascend to the Golan Heights for a panoramic view of the peaks of Mt. Hermon and the rugged Golan Plateau.
Visit Banias (Caesarea Philippi), one of the sources of the Jordan River, where Jesus revealed his purpose to his disciples before his last trip to Jerusalem, and where Simon identified Jesus as the Messiah.
Return to Tiberias for overnight.
|
|
Travel through the Galilee to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Church of Annunciation, built on the site where archaeologists believe the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary. You will also see Mary’s Well and Joseph’s Church.
Stop at Cana to visit the Wedding Church where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine.
Visit the ancient synagogue at Beit Alpha at the foot of the Gilboa Mountains to see one of the best-preserved and most beautiful mosaics in Israel.
Drive through the Jordan Valley, passing by Jericho, before ascending through the Judean Mountains to Jerusalem.
Overnight at your Jerusalem hotel.

You will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.

Travel Tips
The climate of Israel is warm and sunny for most of the year. Winters are short but can be cold and rainy. Rainfall is mostly limited to between November and April.
In general, Jerusalem is cooler than Tel Aviv. The hottest areas are those below sea level - the Jordan Valley, the shores of the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea and
the areas around Eilat.
May-October is the ideal time to visit Israel.
A current passport, valid for at least six months from your scheduled return date, is the only documentation required of American citizens to enter Israel. If planning to visit any Arab or Muslim states, excluding Egypt and
Jordan, you can request that the Immigration authorities stamp a piece of paper rather than your passport.
No immunizations are necessary to visit Israel.
Casual, comfortable clothing is fine for touring. Skirts and slacks or jeans are okay anywhere. In the winter, you’ll need a medium weight coat and a cardigan or pullover should be packed for possibly chilly summer evenings. Pack things you can layer. Midday and afternoon can be considerably warmer than mornings and evenings.
Religious sites are not open to anyone dressed immodestly; men and women must cover their legs and shoulders. Arms must be covered in all mosques
and temples. Men must cover their heads in Jewish places of worship.
Comfortable, sturdy walking shoes are a must. Bring an old pair of sneakers or water shoes for walking
on the rocky sea bed of the Dead Sea.
Bring sunglasses and a sun hat.
The currency of Israel is the New Shekel and it is divided into 100 Argorot. Money can be changed at banks and in hotels. Many Israelis will talk in terms of American dollars when quoting prices. Most major credit cards are accepted in Israel.
The electric current is 110-240 volts. Wall plugs are the round, two pronged European type
