We’re looking for the name of this valley that lies between Temple Mount/Noble Sanctuary and Mount of Olives in Jerusalem and continues eastward about 20 miles to the Dead Sea. From Jerusalem to the Dead Sea, the valley drops 4,000 feet in elevation!
The valley and adjacent slopes have been burial grounds for thousands of years. Jesus walked in the valley often as he traveled between Jerusalem and Bethany and on the night of his arrest, he walked through the valley to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray, according to John 18:1.
The answer is: Kidron Valley
