You will be met at Havana Harbor port by your Ya’lla Tours private Cuban guide to begin your tour.
Visit the Centro Hebreo Sefaradi de Cuba and meet with Dr. Levy, the head of the community. Learn about the congregation, their programs and challenges and visit their Holocaust Remembrance Hall.
Visit Adath Israel, an Orthodox congregation in Old Havana; followed by a visit to the only kosher butcher in Cuba, who distributes meat in rations.
Continue with a very emotional visit to the Jewish Cemetery of Guanabacoa. See the first Holocaust Memorial in the Americas, erected in 1940 by the refugees who were lucky enough to escape the war and flee to Cuba.
Continue to El Divino Paladar in the country side for lunch. This privately-owned restaurant also hosts a local communitarian project that consists of a day center for senior people.
