BEST OF JORDAN TOUR - 2 nights/3 days, depart any day from Tel Aviv
2 nts in Petra

Priced from $1,645 per person in a double room

This is one of our private Jordan tours.

Visit Jordan from Israel. This tour includes pick-up and drop-off in Tel Aviv.
Visit Madaba, visit Mt. Nebo. Tour Petra for a full day. Visit Jerash, then return to Israel.

This Jordan tour is guaranteed to operate with a minimum of 2 passengers.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Tel Aviv at 7:00AM and transferred to the Sheikh Hussein Bridge, the northern Israel/Jordan border crossing, about a 2 hour drive.

After border crossing procedures, you will be met by your private Jordanian guide and driver. Drive to the holy city of Madaba, well known for its outstanding Byzantine mosaics. Visit St. George Cathedral and see the 6th century mosaic floor depicting the earliest surviving map of the holy land.

Next, drive to Mt. Nebo, the traditional burial site of Moses. Visit the ancient church overlooking the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley. The church houses magnificent 6th century mosaics.

Continue to Petra for overnight.

After an early breakfast, leave the hotel with your guide and travel south on the road to Wadi Musa for your Petra tour. Continue on horseback to the siq (canyon), and then on foot to Petra. Known as "Sela Edom" or red rock city, Petra was the capital of the Nabateans from the 3rd century B.C. to the 2nd century A.D. Petra's most elegant monument, El Khazneh (The Treasury) comes dramatically into view as you emerge from the Siq. Beyond The Treasury an entire city is carved into the canyon walls. Other outstanding structures include The Monastery and Urn Tomb. Wander through the field of tombs and obelisks to Al Madhbah (The Altar). From this point you can view the whole of the rock city.

Return to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 3 -
Drive north to Jerash, city of the Decapolis. Located in the fertile heights of Gilead, Jerash is one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities left to us. Stroll the stately colonnaded streets past the theater, the baths, the hill top temple and the triumphal arch. Continue to the northern border crossing and then on to Tel Aviv for drop-off.
