On my second trip, I took my family to Santorini and Athens. Our four-year-old daughter learned how to say please &amp; thank you in Greek, and she did ALL of the things in Santorini, including hiking to the top of the volcano, the wooden boat cruise, visiting the ruins at Akrotiri, watching the sunset from the jacuzzi on our balcony, swimming in the Aegean&#8230;\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Here are three reasons why Greece should be at the top of your bucket list.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4350\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yallatours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/santorini-blue-domes-caldera-view.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"340\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE POSTCARD VIEWS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOur hotel in Santorini was owned by three sisters, and they brought us a beautiful cake for my husband\u2019s 40<sup>th<\/sup> birthday, which was super memorable. The family room was on the top floor and the views were absolutely breathtaking \u2013 gave me chills walking into the hotel for the first time.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nTHE SAFETY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMy family walked day and night in both Athens and Santorini and felt no safety issues. My husband even felt adventurous and we rented a stick-shift car for a day in Santorini. That may not be for everyone, but we got a kick out of the narrow, winding roads!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4351\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yallatours.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/greek-food.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE FOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe were invited to an old friend\u2019s house in Athens for dinner. She made us a traditional Greek meal of souvlaki and Greek salad.
