Easy trails and good signage lead through lovely scenery to clusters of fairy chimneys and rock-cut churches. The churches in Zelve do not have the brilliant frescos like those in Goreme, but the area has its own appeal and it&#8217;s much less touristy than Goreme. We recommend at least a day of touring in Cappadocia and two nights in a cave hotel.<\/p>\n<p>To get to Cappadocia, there are daily flights from Istanbul to Kayseri, in the heart of the region. Ankara is about a 3-hour drive. Istanbul is about a 10-hour drive.<\/p>\n<p>For Cappadocia accommodations, Goreme, Urgup, Uchisar and Avanos are most central.
