DAY 1 - AMMAN
Upon arrival at Amman Queen Alia Airport, you will be met by a Ya'lla Tours USA representative and transferred to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 2 - AMMAN
You will be met by your private guide to start your tour. Stop briefly for coffee at a café overlooking the Temple of Hercules and the Citadel. Visit the Roman Theater of Amman and the Citadel. Stroll through the old markets in the downtown area and stop to sample some knafeh, a regional treat, from the famous Habeba Sweets.
Then drive to Jerash - city of the Decapolis, located about 45 km north of Amman in the fertile heights of Gilead. Visit the ancient Roman city with streets lined with columns, the ancient theater, the baths and the hill top temple, the triumphal arch, etc.
Return to Amman for overnight.

DAY 3 - WADI RUM
Drive to Mt. Nebo, overlooking the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley. This is the traditional burial site of Moses, although no tomb has been found. The church here houses magnificent mosaics dating back to the 6th century.* Continue to the holy city of Madaba, known for outstanding Byzantine mosaics. Visit St. George’s Cathedral to see the earliest surviving map of the Holy Land in a 6th-century mosaic floor. Continue to Wadi Rum and our desert camp. Before dinner, take a sunset camel ride for an hour. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

*The church at Mount Nebo is closed for restoration through 2015.

DAY 4 - PETRA
Take a short 4 X 4 vehicle ride in Wadi Rum, with its awesome moon-like landscape, crisscrossed with countless valleys of stunning beauty. The film Lawrence of Arabia was shot here. Stop at a Bedouin tent for a short break, with Bedouin tea and bread. Continue to Petra for overnight.

DAY 5 - PETRA
This morning we will tour the city of Petra. Lost to the world for centuries in the mountains of southern Jordan, this "rose-red city, half as old as time," was discovered by the Swiss explorer Burkhardt in 1812. Once it was a stronghold and capital of the Nabateans, but fell to Rome in 106 AD. Travel part of the way on horseback and the rest on foot through the deep and narrow passages carved millions of years ago by erosion. The Treasury finally appears magnificently in front of you, an awesome start to an unforgettable experience. Now we begin our exploration of what both the Nabateans and Romans left for us to witness. The most adventurous will be invited to hike up to the spiritual "High Place," site of the sacrificial altar, with spectacular views of the ancient city and surroundings. Return to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 6 -
You will be transferred to Queen Alia International Airport for your departure flight.
